2018 4-Wall Paddleball European Championships (Pontevedra, Spain)

Results of the 2018 4-Wall Paddleball European Championships organized by the Galician Association of Paddleball, Racquetball and Associated Sports in collaboration with Evofit Fitness Center (Caldas de Reis, Pontevedra):

The 2018 European Champions have been:

In the final of men’s singles, Jaime B. Blanco Dios won Gonzalo Chorén Riobó by 2 sets to 0 (21-7, 21-8), and in the final of boy’s singles, Fernando Martínez Baamonde also have defeated Mario E. Blanco Boullosa by 2 sets to 1 (21-15, 18-21, 11-5).

In the final of men’s doubles, Jaime B. Blanco Dios and Mario E. Blanco Boullosa beat to Gonzalo Castromán and Gonzalo Chorén by 2 sets to 0 (21-7, 21-7). The same result was given in the final of boys doubles, where the couple formed by Mario E. Blanco Boullosa and Fernando Martínez Baamonde have defeated to Diego Castro Lora and Pedro López Miramontes for the same result of 2 sets to 0 (21-9, 21-8).

Lansing Doubles Tournament   January 5, 2019

Lansing, Michigan – Westside YMCA, 3700 Old Lansing Rd, Lansing, MI 48917

Tournament Format: Rotational Doubles–play with a different partner each round. Overall points determine the winner. 


Edson Borgess (Lansing, MI), Jim Kutt (Lansing, MI), John Gardner (Lansing, MI), and Jim Owens (Ann Arbor, MI) were the last four standing in the winners’ bracket. Edson claimed first place honors with 35 points, edging out the Jims who shared second place with 34 points.

Dan O’Shea prevailed in the consolation bracket.
