In the words of tournament director Roby Partovich: “The event was a blast!”

Alex Cresecio finished in 1st place in the A/B Paddleball Division and Len Sonnesberg, the 2015 Earl Riskey awardee, was 2nd.
Additional Information
This World Outdoor Racquetball (WOR) sanctioned event’s title sponsor is Coast to Coast Computer Products.
The winning team is awarded the Custom Long Board pictured below. Mexico won in 2013, the U.S.A. in 2014, and it was a draw this year.
Due to the small number in the paddleball divisions, fourteen this year, a King of the Court format is utilized: a mix of players from both divisions are put into groups of four, three games of doubles are played, the top two players in each group advance, the process is repeated until there are not enough players to form a group, the winner is the player with the most points in the last round.
Tournament director Roby Partovich is optimistic and hopeful about the growth in paddleball in this annual event. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the Battle of the Borders event. Give it try next year!
