2024 NPA Midwest Doubles Players,

We look forward to seeing you on March 9th at Schoolcraft College.

Starting Times

Open, A, and B players arrive at Schoolcraft by 8:45, except Jason Becker and Eric Boks, who should arrive by 10:45

Vintage players arrive by 10:45 except for Pete Magar and Bob Abdo, who should arrive by 11:45

70+ Combined players not playing in either Open or A arrive by 11:45.

Division Information

The B team has been moved to A, resulting in a 7-team division competing in a standard draw with a B drop-down.  All matches are best two out of three.  Tie-breakers in the first round are to 15.  All other games are to 21.

Open is a 6-team round-robin.

70+ Combined is a 5-team round-robin. Since almost all players play in a second division, times will be flexible. The match will be played when two teams and a court are available.

The NPA Round-Robin Format

  1. Each player or team will play a single 21-point game against each of the other players or teams in the division.
  2. Players or teams are then ranked based on the number of games won.
  3. If two players or teams tie, total points scored overall determine the ranking.  After which, if there is still a tie, the player or team winning the head to head game is ranked higher.
  4. If three players or teams tie, a calculation of the points scored and the points scored against the two other players or teams will be conducted.  The resulting higher difference will produce the higher ranking.

The first and second highest ranked players or teams will play a best two out of three 21-point games match to determine the championship of the division.
